Very detailed and I enjoyed the 'meeting the man behind it' story.
Good sharing and I'm going to check their service out tonight.

Re: The sweet smell of ma.gnolia

Amen, Colin! I've been using ma.gnolia increasingly over the past few weeks and have started to use it to post interesting links directly to my blog with the postalicious plugin.

I think what Alex said above is true - ma.gnolia manages to raise the bar on social web apps, primarily because of its prettiness, but also because it has some great social networking and community features.

Re: The sweet smell of ma.gnolia

Colin - Sorry to post here, but did you get my email? I will be in Philly next week and wanted to meet-up.

Re: The sweet smell of ma.gnolia

manual trackback: http://leihu.com/journal/ar...

Re: The sweet smell of ma.gnolia

Thanks for your kind words! We're always working to enrich our members' experience with Ma.gnolia and life in general. Doesn't that sound cheezy? Anyway, it's good to know we're on the right track. It was great meeting at SxSW; keep the comments and suggestions coming, we really appreciate the input.

Re: The sweet smell of ma.gnolia

Hey Colin,
Glad that you're enjoying your stay at ma.gnolia, and that you decided to make the switch.

I think that Larry has done a great job of showing that sites can be simple, but have polish. Its my hope that days where craigslist/delicious are acceptably "simple" are on their way out. Yes, they have just the right number of features that people actually need and use, but its the polish that ma.gnolia has that I think kicks it up to the next level.

Also, the fact that Larry and his crew put the community back into social bookmarking, makes it such a smart, usable service. On the list of people that 'get it', Larry's up at the top.

Re: The sweet smell of ma.gnolia

It's pretty.
