I do have a mostly dormant blog where I can post updates, but I might wind up posting updates on flickr at http://www.flickr.com/photo.... Maybe I'll create a set and post weekly photos of myself on weigh-in day. We'll see.

I'm 6'1" and in the neighborhood of 265. I'd like to be down below 190. We'll see.

Re: The diet log makes a comeback, in a whole new way

Do you have "The Diet" running again this year?

Re: The diet log makes a comeback, in a whole new way

I just came across this site, add me to the list. I actually started April 10th when I was tired of carrying around 225-230 lbs. As of yesterday morning June 12th I was at 201. Looking for a target of 175-180. With a short term goal of hitting 190 by early-mid July.

Re: The diet log makes a comeback, in a whole new way

I think this will be a good motivator for me. I've been struggling with weight issues since I was a kid and I haven't been able to keep the weight I lose off. Maybe this will help me do that. At the time my weight was somewhere between 9 - 9.5 stone (130ish pounds) - I was underweight for my height (5'11). Like many other people, Mirtazapine caused my metabolism to slow and I gained 2stone (20% of my original weight). The drugs did work and I feel much better, but now want to have a healthy lifestyle and fight my depression and anxiety naturally.

Last Wednesday (1st June 2006) I embarked on my new health plan. I no longer smoke or take Mirtazapine, I eat at least 5 portions of fruit/Veg a day, do some form of daily exercise (usually tennis or cycling - but on Saturday I went punting!), drink 2litres of water a day (and no fizzy pop), and take daily vitamins. I also record my success on a chart each day which includes the amount of studying I have done and the amount of sleep I get.

My goal is to weigh 9.5 stone (133pounds).

Re: The diet log makes a comeback, in a whole new way

This is a great idea. I've been struggling to lose the 25 pounds I've put on in the past two years. It's not THAT big a deal... 165 to 140... but I've decided to finally shed it in 8 weeks for a "pool party" type wedding I'm attending. Good luck to everyone on their goals.

Re: The diet log makes a comeback, in a whole new way

Oh, I'm in too!
