I'd like to hear that story.

Thanks for watching and always leaving feedback!

Re: Random 60: Doing what you love, not what you’re good at.

I've been thinking about this one a lot today. Not because I can't answer the question, but because you've got me thinking about the things I really enjoy doing yet haven't spent much time with lately.

But to answer the question, there are two things that come to mind for me - Rock Band and Social Media. I love both and am really not very good at either. Average at best.

Great topic today, thanks for getting me thinking.

Re: Random 60: Doing what you love, not what you’re good at.

If only life had a respawn.

Re: Random 60: Doing what you love, not what you’re good at.

One of my favorite things to do that I'm no rockstar at is playing first person shooters on Xbox Live. Colin, you know all too well that my Halo strategy is anything but impressive, yet I manage to re-spawn time after time and keep trying to get a kill before it happens all over again.

Re: Random 60: Doing what you love, not what you’re good at.

An excellent list. I could probably add more for you, but I won't because you could do the same for me.

Re: Random 60: Doing what you love, not what you’re good at.

Thanks Owen! I am back! I'm really looking forward to some singing by OhDoctah!

Re: Random 60: Doing what you love, not what you’re good at.

My list:

I love music. So I'm trying to learn how to play guitar. I really enjoy it even though I'm not good at it at all.

I love playing beach volleyball even though I get trounced by the competition I play with.

I love eating weird things even though I'm no good at describing it yet. I'm trying to learn, though.

Re: Random 60: Doing what you love, not what you’re good at.

Man the list is way to long!I sing and make up random songs. I will post one later I got this Iphone remix popping in and out of my head. I like these lil 60 sec vids nice to see you back!

Re: Random 60: Doing what you love, not what you’re good at.

Your thoughts are inline what with Chris said above. Perhaps it is our pursuit of "getting better" or learning something that keeps us doing the things we love to do, even if we're not good at them.

Wow. We're getting somewhere with this.

Re: Random 60: Doing what you love, not what you’re good at.

Good way to look at it. I suppose I too work at my art in hopes of getting better every time. I don't plan on being as bad as I am today forever. But I suppose I never plan on being "great" at it.

This is why I love doing these videos so much. This comment is great. Thanks so much Chris.

Re: Random 60: Doing what you love, not what you’re good at.

I am a master at everything I do. If I am not a master at it, I keep doing it until I master it. This explains my 16+ year web obsession somewhat.

Re: Random 60: Doing what you love, not what you’re good at.

Great question, Colin. Made me think. I tend to do things with the intention of getting good at them.

However, the best answer I could give you currently is...rock climbing. I can kinda climb but it's tough. Hopefully, I'll get better and move onto something else I can suck at for a while. :)
